Concealed Cisterns Leakproof and reliable behind the wall

The classic of modern bathroom installation

Geberit concealed cisterns for WCs have been the epitome of reliability, durability and tightness for over 60 years. They form the core of our flush technology and have been installed millions of times around the world.

Spares parts are available for 50 years and backwards compatible to ensure the cisterns can continue to work for years to come.

Concealed cisterns can be installed with various installation systems, including Geberit Duofix, Geberit GIS and Geberit Kombifix. This makes them incredibly versatile and suitable for almost any constructional situation.

They are also easy to maintain, as removing the flush plate provides direct access to the relevant components. Concealed cisterns also lie at the heart of the Geberit WC system, with optimised hydraulics that make them more than 30% quieter in operation.

Innovative additional functions

Modern concealed cisterns from Geberit are modular and can be equipped with much more than just a flush function, depending on the model and setup.

Tested tightness & reliability

Geberit concealed cisterns are made from a single cistern body. The plastic is blown up like a balloon and moulded, rather than being cast. This technique ensures outstanding tightness and high reliability.

Geberit flushing systems undergo extensive long-term testing, with a minimum of 200,000 flushes and refills. This allows Geberit to simulate 50 years of use within just three months.

The durability tests are performed in our accredited, in-house sanitary technology laboratory (covering around 800 square metres) at our headquarters in Switzerland.

Spares parts availability for 50 years ensures the concealed cisterns can continue to work for years to come. Spare parts availability does not cover specific electronic components of products, such as the Geberit hygiene flush unit or the Geberit DuoFresh WC odour extraction unit.

Frequently asked questions about Geberit concealed cisterns

Are Geberit concealed cisterns available without the installation element?

Yes, concealed cisterns are also available without the installation element.

However, we recommend using a Geberit Duofix, GIS or Kombifix installation element to ensure safe mounting. These elements are suitable for a wide range of potential applications, construction types and constructional situations – whether solid or drywall construction, renovations or new builds.

Why should I think about the toilet’s electrical and water supply connections at an early stage?

An electrical connection for the toilet should be set up early in the installation phase using the Geberit Power & Connect Box. All Geberit installation systems come with conduit pipes for an additional water supply connection.

This ensures that comfort functions, such as a shower toilet, odour extraction unit, orientation light, touchless flush plate or hygiene flush unit, are easy to retrofit. This also makes it easier to create accessible solutions and connect toilets to building automation systems.

How do I know which concealed cistern is installed behind the wall?

Plumbers can use the Geberit Pro app to quickly and easily identify which cistern is hidden behind the wall by either taking a photo of the flush plate with their phone or uploading an image of it.

'The app uses specific product features, such as the protection plate, to identify the model and displays suitable spare parts, conversion sets, installation manuals and other product details.

Can you install a Geberit cistern in drywall?

Yes, Geberit concealed cisterns are also suitable for drywall construction. You can use either Geberit Duofix or the Geberit GIS element to quickly and easily install Geberit cisterns in drywall construction.

What is the correct way to install a Geberit concealed cistern?

The installation manual describes the correct way to install a cistern and can be found in the Geberit product catalogue at any time. Installation videos are also available for many products.

Where can I find spare parts for Geberit concealed cisterns?
